We've reported on the dangers of being a cab driver — you never know which drunk or crazy fare will hop into your taxi. But there's also a great deal of uncertainty as a passenger, as one San Francisco woman recently discovered.
She called for a cab after a night of boozing at an Inner Sunset bar. The cab driver picked her up at the corner of Ninth Avenue and Irving Street at about 2:30 a.m., according to police reports.
The woman was perhaps a little too drunk, because she didn't seem to be clear on where her destination was. The cabbie, reasonably so, got frustrated, stopped the car at Divisadero and Golden Gate and slapped her (unreasonable).
