If the Fourth of July didn't fulfill your patriotic quota for the summer, you're in luck: The San Francisco Bulls professional hockey team is looking for someone to sing the national anthem, and we'll get to watch the selection process.
On Saturday, Aug. 18, all wannabe Christina Aguileras will come to Pier 39 to sing a 30-second snip of the National Anthem and a verse and chorus of their favorite song. Six hopefuls will win the chance to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at an S.F. Bull's game.
Saturday's patriotic event will begin at 1 p.m. on the Crystal Geyser stage. The Bulls filled their panel with local celebrities, including KGO's Dan Ashley, San Jose Sharks Insider Kevin Kurz, KRON's Vicki Liviakis, and Bravo TV's Emily Morse.
But the fun doesn't end there.
