A trio of suspects with alleged links to a gruesome Craigslist-related murder and robbery in Washington state have been nabbed in the Bay Area with the help of police in San Francisco and Daly City.
All four suspects in the April 28 killing of Jim Sanders in Edgewood, Wash., are now in custody, according to The Seattle Times. Three of them — Kiyoshi Hagashi, Joshua Nathan Reese, and Amanda Knight — were arrested during a traffic stop in Daly City, having allegedly come to San Francisco to sell property stolen from Sanders.
Police and prosecutors in Pierce County, Wash., say that the three suspects — along with a fourth suspect, Clabon Terel Berniard — appeared at Sanders' home in response to a Craigslist post advertising a diamond ring for sale. They then allegedly forced their way into the home, tied up Sanders' family, and pistol-whipped his teenage son. Police say Sanders was killed when he tried to protect his son.
