Temple Nightclub Ordered to Improve Safety After Violent Weekend

The head of the Entertainment Commission is ordering Temple Nightclub to take  “corrective security measures” after two separate brawls at the SOMA club left one man brain-dead.

Jocelyn Kane, who was recently appointed the director of the Entertainment Commission, met with club owners and the security company for the club for an hour yesterday to learn more about how the incident started and what measures, if any, could be taken to prevent violence at the club.
Kane wouldn't go into details about where the club might need to improve its safety, at least not until she tells the nightclub owners herself. She will announce the details at an Entertainment Commission meeting tonight.
