Two People Stabbed, Hospitalized in 24 hours

Police department data shows 34 knife-related assault arrests citywide in January 2018.

Two stabbings in the last 24 hours sent two victims to the hospital, police said Friday.

Starting in the Fillmore District last night, a male and female began arguing just after 10 p.m., three blocks north of the Painted Ladies near the intersection of Turk and Fillmore streets.

The verbal fight turned physical when the female whipped out a knife and stabbed the male victim the arm, sending him to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. San Francisco police arrested the female suspect at the scene.

Then just before 3 a.m., an argument between two men near the intersection of Ninth and Howard streets turned violent, when one repeatedly punched and stabbed the other. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrest has been made in the case.
