Want to Join the Trump Boycott? Here’s How…

If you want to keep your hard-earned money from going to Donald Trump's financial empire, there's a handy guide available online.

It’s probably a given that most San Franciscans will not be staying at Trump Tower anytime soon. But if you really want to keep your dollars from going to Donald Trump’s financial empire, there’s a handy guide available online.

What started as the hashtag #GrabYourWallet is now a highly detailed and publicly available Google Doc called The Official #GrabYourWallet Boycott List. Bay Area digital strategist Shannon Coulter is constantly updating the spreadsheet to include more companies that sell Trump products or whose chief executives have endorsed or raised money for Donald Trump.

The spreadsheet also includes customer service contacts and a sample message to let the brands and businesses know that you’re not shopping there if they maintain their financial ties to the Trump family.

The businesses on the Trump boycott’s blacklist include many of the big department-store chains you’d expect to see, like Nordstrom’s and Bloomingdale’s, which sell Ivanka Trump’s line of shoes, clothing, and accessories. But it also contains a few surprise targets, like Amazon and Zappos, who also sell Trump-branded apparel.

The #GrabYourWallet boycott list has already had some effect on retailers. Since the spreadsheet went viral this week, Shoes.com and Bellacor have dumped Trump products from their inventory.
