Basi Vibe and Sweet Lew & the Sweet N’ Lows opened up last Wednesday night to a nearly packed house at the Rickshaw Stop on Fell Street. Gracing the ears of the audience was an array of genres that could be condensed down to Rhythm & Blues, Hard Rock, and Funk; however, the dominating feeling that night was pure Soul. The three groups on the bill all hail from the San Francisco Bay Area. James Taugher & the Who Cares released their debut, self-titled album that day and that evening was a celebration with more permutations of Motown, RnB, & Neo-Soul. Passionate howlings from JT backed by smooth, soothing vocals from pianist An-Nhien Le, as well as added bursts of saxophone from Chris Hoog of Afrolicious rounded off the musicianship of the Who Cares. James Taugher & the Who Cares will be playing this Friday February 21, 2020 at The Big Easy in Petaluma, CA.
