The Sex Cells party came through San Francisco on tour this past Saturday, October 26th. Marc Almond, the well-known vocalist of new wave act Soft Cell (as well as an accomplished solo musician in his own right) headlined the night, performing a set of Soft Cell songs, in addition to solo material.
TRST served as support with a visually stripped-down performance using just strobes for ambiance. The heavy beats and atmospheric synths filled the room. Romy opened the show with her style of noisy industrial rock and was a pleasant surprise and new favorite for many. DJing by Hercules & Love Affair supplied between-band beats to keep the energy going, with Heklina hosting the event.
Presented by Folk Yeah, this date of the Sex Cells tour had the audience standing at their seats, dancing and hollering nearly the whole night.
